Driven by increasingly stringent global regulations on ship emissions, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) has imposed strict limits on sulfur emissions, accelerating the adoption of natural gas as a marine fuel. Consequently, the installation of Marine LNG Fuel Gas Supply Systems (FGSS) has become a prerequisite for modern vessels.
GOT Microchannel Heat Exchangers (PCHEs), deployed within the FGSS, serve as the core component for thermal management. Featuring a diffusion-bonded core with intricately etched microchannels, these exchangers facilitate highly efficient counter-flow heat transfer between hot and cold fluids. This design dramatically increases the heat transfer surface area per unit volume. Under equivalent pressure drop conditions, GOT PCHEs deliver a heat transfer coefficient 3 to 5 times higher than that of conventional shell-and-tube exchangers, while occupying only one-fifth of the footprint.
Beyond the significant reduction in size and weight, the all-welded, gasket-free construction enhances operational safety and reliability. The result is a compact, lightweight, and highly durable solution characterized by superior thermal efficiency, minimal heat loss, a small footprint, ease of installation, and simplified maintenance.
